Substance Use Disorder Services & Treatment

The following services are covered for Community First Members. Check your plan documents for benefit limitations and prior authorization requirements.

Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment: In-person and/or virtual therapy and support for substance use disorders while living at home and maintaining daily responsibilities.

Ambulatory Detox (Withdrawal Management): Outpatient treatment where patients manage withdrawal symptoms while living at home with the help of medication and/or receiving treatment at a licensed site daily.

Inpatient Detox (Withdrawal Management): Inpatient treatment where patients receive 24-hour monitoring to manage withdrawal symptoms, including the use of medication.

Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program: Structured in-person and/or virtual individual, group, and family therapy for patients with a substance use disorder providing a higher level of support than traditional outpatient therapy.

Chemical Dependency Partial Hospitalization Program: Day treatment for people who need ongoing substance use disorder treatment, but don’t require hospitalization.

Chemical Dependency Residential Treatment Center: Substance use disorder treatment and services in licensed facilities where people stay for a short period of time, including counseling, case management, education, and recovery skills training.
