Community First Health Plans would like to inform Providers that the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) posted new and revised policies for alternative device reduction reviews on HHSC’s Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) webpage.
The policies are effective September 2, 2025 and outlined in the EVV Alternative Device Limitation Policies (PDF), which will be added to the Electronic Visit Verification Policy Handbook in an upcoming handbook revision.
The new and revised policies are applicable to:
- Program Providers and program providers approved as Proprietary System Operators (PSOs)
- Financial management service agencies (FMSAs) and FMSAs approved as PSOs
- Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employers
