This event provides a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired prescription medications, helping reduce misuse and protect communities.

Providers play an important role in promoting safe medication practices, and sharing this information can help support patients, families, and the broader community.
Impact At a Glance:
- The most recent Take Back Day collected more than 570,000 pounds (over 285 tons) of medications nationwide.
- Since the program began, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has helped collect over 20 million pounds of unused prescription drugs.
