To improve the accuracy of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), HHSC will be phasing out the use of alternative devices as an approved method to clock in and clock out of the EVV system. HHSC developed a proposed schedule of the phase-out.
HHSC encourages program providers, financial management services agencies (FMSAs), Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employers, members who receive EVV-required services, and other interested parties to submit comments on the proposed phase-out of alternative devices.

Comments should be sent to EVV@hhs.texas.gov with “Comments on EVV Alternative Device Phase-out Schedule” as the subject of the email.
Comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. CST, May 15, 2024.
